Chris Brown's misdemeanor assault case will go on without him.

According to the "Washington Post," Judge Robert S. Tignor is allowing the embattled singer to miss his hearing today in Washington, DC.

Brown's attorneys recently asked for the allowance since a California judge ordered Chris to remain in anger management therapy for 90 days after he was reportedly kicked out of a previous rehab stint over an alleged violent episode.

Chris Brown has pleaded not guilty to one misdemeanor count of assault stemming from an alleged fight outside of the W Hotel in DC.

Following the charge, Chris entered a Malibu rehab facility, but left after only 16 days.  While Chris promised to continue therapy on the outside, the judge last week ordered him to return to a residential facility in Los Angeles.
