Three USA Gymnastics board of directors executives are resigning amid the ongoing sexual abuse testimony at Larry Nassar's sentencing. Chairmen Paul Parilla, Jay Binder and treasurer Bitsy Kelley have not provided statements as to why they are leaving. But USA Gymnastics CEO and President Kerry Perry believes the resignations will allow the organization to "effectively move forward" with procedural changes. The organization says it is committed to the ongoing promotion of athlete safety, health and well-being; and wish to prevent future abuse.
USA Gymnastics recently started a "Safe Sport Policy" where athletes can report abuses easier.
