Victim Of Ex-Olympic Doctor Was Billed For Exams She Was Assaulted In

A 15-year-old girl who was sexually assaulted by former gymnastics doctor Larry Nassar claims that Michigan State University, where Nassar was employed, continues to send her family medical bills for appointments in which was assaulted. According to the Daily Mail, Emma Ann Miller, who may have been the last female Nassar assaulted, told the court he abused her in a supply closet at the MSU College of Osteopathic Medicine.

Nassar was fired in August 2016, just days after her final appointment. Despite his termination, arrest and conviction, the school still sends Miller's mother bills for her sessions:

My mom is still getting billed for appointments where I was sexually assaulted,

Miller spoke about how Nassar had become a father figure for her, and that he made her feel special.

It's always just been my mom and I. I needed a positive male role model in my life, and that's who Nassar was for me

She said he even put her photo up next to those of Olympians he had treated.

A Michigan State spokesman said they are looking into Miller's claims, and said her family will not be billed, according to Fox News

Miller was one of 144 women who will give victim impact statements ahead of Nassar's sentence. Over 80 women spoke last week, detailing the years of abuse they suffered at the hands of Nassar.
