Active Shooter Reported At Wisconsin Office Building

Four people were injured after a shooting at a commercial building in Middleton, Wisconsin just after 10 a.m. on Wednesday (September 19) morning. Police said that the suspect was shot and taken to the hospital in critical condition.

Judy Lahmers, who works in the WTS Paradigm building where the shooting occurred told the Associated Press that she was sitting at her desk when she heard gunshots and started to run out of the building.

"I'm not looking back, I'm running as fast as I can. You just wonder, 'Do you hide or do you run?'" she said.

A witness told the Wisconsin State Journal that the shooter was an employee at WTS Paradigm, but police have not released the identity of the gunman.

"My heart goes out to the families of anyone who may have been hurt," Middleton Mayor Gurdip Brar said. "The city will do everything we can to help them in this situation."
