Kid Rock took a jab at Michelle Obama over her decision to not attend President-elect Donald Trump's upcoming inauguration on Monday (January 20), calling her "a little angry."

On Thursday (January 16), Kid Rock, who is slated to perform during Trump's inauguration weekend, appeared on "Jesse Watters Primetime," where he discussed Obama skipping the president-elect's inauguration.

Watters initially asked Kid Rock if he had ever participated in a presidential inauguration. Kid Rock noted how he performed at former President Barack Obama's inauguration in 2009 despite not voting for him in the election.

The rock artist then said he heard the former first lady had chosen to skip Trump's swearing-in ceremony. When asked about his thoughts on the decision, Kid Rock said of Michelle Obama, "She seems a little angry."

Kid Rock's comments come after the office of Barack and Michelle Obama confirmed that the former first lady wouldn't attend the ceremony while the former president would. The office declined to explain the decision.

Michelle Obama also didn't appear at former President Jimmy Carter's funeral service earlier this month. Former President Barack Obama attended the service and sat next to Trump, who he appeared to have a friendly conversation with.

During Trump's inauguration weekend, Kid Rock is set to perform alongside Billy Ray Cyrus, Lee Greenwood, Parker McCollum, Gavin DeGraw, The Village People, and Carrie Underwood.
