The-Dream has confirmed his upcoming album is finally done.

On Monday, January 27, the Grammy award-winning singer revealed the update in an Instagram post. He posted a black-and-white photo of himself with a caption that said, "Album Done. This is not a drill." In smaller text, he wrote, "Thank God and Life for the inspiration no matter how it reveals itself." The update sparked plenty of excitement among fans and fellow celebrities including Chloe Bailey, who wrote "we are ready!!!!!" Metro Boomin, Rick Ross and Hitmaka also left fire emojis in his comment section.

The-Dream, who's real name is Terius Gesteelde-Diamant, has been working on his next body of work since he parted ways with his former publisher Warner Chappell Music Publishing in 2023. At the time, he dropped his previous solo track "Stream (V7 Demo Archive 9.20)" in honor of his 45th birthday. He hasn't provided any other updates on his musical plans since then. However, he did appear on Rick Ross & Meek Mill's joint album Too Good To Be True and Usher's Coming Home LP.

The album update comes several months after an artist named Chanaaz Mangroe accused him of sexual assault. Mangroe filed a federal lawsuit against The-Dream last June and claimed he lured her "into an abusive, violent, and manipulative relationship" when she was 23. Lawyers for Gesteelde-Diamant denied the claims and called the lawsuit a "character assassination."
