A$AP Rocky denied A$AP Relli's claims that the rapper shot at him just hours after the alleged shooting went down.
On Wednesday, January 29, Relli, born Terell Ephron, took the witness stand to continue his testimony on day three of Rocky's gun assault trial. At one point during the hearing, screenshots of text messages between the former friends were shown in court. In their heated exchange, Relli accused Rocky of trying to set him up before they got into their explosive argument in 2021. The Harlem rapper immediately denied the allegation.
"I tried to do what??" Rocky replied. "Stop making s*** up Rell."
Relli was adamant that Rocky, born Rakim Mayers, fired a gun at him. He claimed the bullet grazed his left hand right above his knuckles. In the texts, he pressed his former childhood friend further and told him the incident was caught on camera. Rocky doubled down and accused Relli of trying to extort him.
"Now u trynna extort n***** talkin bout i shot at u n shot u 4 times and all type of nonsense, u a phony and u dont have the best intentions, stop texting me n stop calling my manager and call police if i 'shot' @ u u weirdo," Rocky responded.
A$AP Rocky's lawyer Jose Tacopina also accused Relli of extortion. He argued Rocky only carried a prop gun that night for security reasons. He said the prop gun couldn't fire real bullets. The trial is expected to continue later today. It's not clear if Rihanna will return to support the father of her children. She managed to dodge the media circus outside the courthouse yesterday and sat near the front of the courtroom with Rocky's mom and sister.
