Hit-Boy and The Alchemist have finalized their business merger by revealing the details for their long-awaited joint album.
On Tuesday, October 7, the esteemed artists announced the plans for their upcoming joint album and short film, Goldfish. Hit-Boy and Alchemist used a clip from the music video for their recent single "Business Merger" to reveal the album's title and release date. Fans can expect to hear the duo rap over each other's beats on the project. The veteran hitmakers will also star in the short film inspired by the album, with appearances from actors Danny Trejo, Simon Rex, and more.
Hit-Boy and The Alchemist have proven to be the most dynamic duo in Hip-Hop today. Since they debuted their first collaboration "Slipping Into Darkness" in 2023, Hit and Al have teamed up on several incredible projects, including their joint effort with Big Hit, Blacks & Whites, and their collaborative EP, THEODORE & ANDRE. The accomplished beatmakers also contributed instrumentals to Benny The Butcher's critically-acclaimed album, Everybody Can't Go.
Hit-Boy and The Alchemist have also had a lot of success on their own. The Alc Records founder recently dropped his collaborative album with Freddie Gibbs, Alfredo 2, and teamed up with Larry June and 2 Chainz for their collective project, Life Is Beautiful. Alchemist is also teaming up with Erykah Badu for their joint album Abi & Alan, and will handle production on Mobb Deep's upcoming Infinite album. Meanwhile, Hit-Boy recently dropped joint albums with Spank Nitti James (High-Class Wiggler) and LaRussell (RENT PAID).
Look out for Goldfish on October 24.
