6ix9ine says he's proud to serve his upcoming prison sentence in the same facility as Nicolás Maduro, alleged assassin Luigi Mangione, and others.

The New York native is set to report to the Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn on Tuesday, January 6, to begin his three-month bid. On the day before he entered the notorious prison, 6ix9ine, born Daniel Hernandez, boasted about potentially meeting the imprisoned Venezuelan dictator to his 24 million Instagram followers.

“Guys remember when I told you I was arrested and in prison with Diddy, the president of Honduras, and Sam Bankman-Fried and you guys thought I was lying?" 6ix9ine said.

"Then it came out that the president of Honduras was like ‘He’s such a cool guy,’" he continued. "Now, I’m about to go meet the president of Venezuela,” 6ix9ine said. “I have that luck of just being locked up with presidents. Oh, and I’m about to meet Luigi too. I’m about to play chess with them n***as, eat ramen noodles."

6ix9ine was sentenced to three months in prison after being found guilty of violating the terms of his five-year probation on three occasions. It began after he pleaded guilty to using drugs and traveling to Las Vegas in November 2024. He was sentenced to 45 days in prison and an additional year of supervised release. A few months later, he was charged with possession of cocaine and MDMA after police raided his home in Palm Beach County, Fla. Then, in August, he reportedly assaulted a man inside a Florida mall.

The prison that 6ix9ine will call home also held other high-profile inmates, including Sean "Diddy" Combs, R. Kelly, "El Chapo" Guzman, Martin Shkreli, and Ghislaine Maxwell. Combs was imprisoned there from the time he was arrested in September 2024 until he was transferred to FCI Fort Dix in New Jersey last October.
