- Sports without spectators is unsatisfying like watching a horror movie by yourself.
The NBA has plans to conclude the season. Starting in July, the teams may play all their games at one Florida venue:ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex.
The sprawling campus near Orlando, which is part of Disney World, has several facilities for games and practices. Players, coaches and staff might camp in the thousands of hotel rooms at the Sports Complex.
Players would receive regular temperature checks and virus tests. Florida Governor Ron DeSantis has said, (quote) “All these professional sports are welcome in Florida. We’ll find a place for you here. We know it can be done safely.”
The NBA released a statement on Saturday, (quote) “Our priority continues to be the health and safety of all involved. We are working with public health experts and government officials on a comprehensive set of guidelines.” (The Washington Post)
